This map c.1864-65 shows Crow Hall to the east of Earsdon in Northumberland. This is now Crowhall farm off Hartley Lane—locally known as “the bee hive road”. The association between the Wigham family and Crow Hall lasted over 40 years from about 1710. At the time of the birth of George Wigham (1727-1792), his immediate family (parents Matthew and Elizabeth PROUD), grandparents Matthew and Isabel TATE (formerly of  Sig Hill—now Seghill and Backworth) and that of his uncle Michael (+ Isabel) were all resident at Crow Hall.
