15. George WIGHAM 2 was christened 30th Nov 1727 in St. Alban's Church, Earsdon, Northumberland,2,3 died 29th July 1792,4 and was buried in St. Alban's Church, Earsdon.

Research Notes:
George and Dorothy WIGHAM were living at Whitridge, Seaton Deleval at the birth of their sons - George and Thomas, christened at St. Albans church, Earsdon Northumberland, in 1765 and 1772 respectively. Other earlier children - Mary, Dorothy, and John, were christened at Horton by Blyth with parents recorded as George WIGHAM and Dorothy. This would indicate that the family lived within the Horton parish for the early years of their marriage until no later than 1765 when they first appear at Whitridge for the christening of their son George (1765). George is referred to as a Farmer in his burial record in the Earsdon parish records for St. Alban.

The family grave stands in the churchyard at St Albans in the village of Earsdon. The inscription reads,

John son of George and Dorothy Wigham of Whitridge died 22nd Nov. 1780 aged 22 years. The Above George Wigham died 29th July 1792 aged 66 years. Thomas, son of George and Anne Wigham of North Shields died 21st Aug 1801 aged 4 years. Dorothy their daughter died 27th April 1803 aged 7 years. Elizabeth their daughter died 12th Jan 1807 aged 7 years. George their son died 19th Jan 1807 aged 4 years. Will.m their son died 24th Jan 1807 aged 2 years. Dorothy wife of the above George Wigham died 31st Oct 1810 aged 84. <added_later>George son of George and Anne Wigham died 22nd June 18… aged 2 years</added_later>. George Wigham died 21st May 1854 aged 89 years.

George married Dorothy OLIVER 18th Jul 1758 in St Mary the Virgin, Horton By Blyth, Northumberland 5,6,7.,8 Dorothy was born about 1726 4,9, died 31st Oct 1810, about age 84 4, and was buried in St. Alban's Church, Earsdon, Northumberland.

Research Notes: No original records seen to confirm parents George and Dorothy. However, IGI records from Horton parish register show parents as George WIGHAM and Dorothy.
